The psychological thriller “The Weekend” has achieved a remarkable milestone as the first Nollywood film independently produced to debut at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
Directed by the talented Nollywood filmmaker Daniel Oriahi, the film has rapidly gained attention, amassing over ₦8 million naira within just two days of its release.
Filmone Entertainment, the movie’s distributor, confirmed this significant box office success, highlighting that the film’s ticket sales have exceeded ₦8 million in cinemas.

This noteworthy accomplishment follows the film’s selection for the prestigious 2024 Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year.
