Funke Akindele Announces Return of Jenifa with New Series Everybody Loves Jenifa
Fans of the beloved series Jenifa’s Diary are in for a treat as Funke Akindele announces the return of the popular show under a new title: Everybody Loves Jenifa. Scheduled to premiere in December, this refreshed iteration promises to bring new excitement to the well-loved franchise.
Jenifa’s Diary, a television comedy series created by Akindele in 2015, continues the story of the charmingly naive character Jenifa, introduced in the original Jenifa film in 2008. The series has since evolved with a sequel, Return of Jenifa (2011), and has expanded with spin-offs including Aiyetoro Town (2019), set in Jenifa’s village, and Jenifa on Lockdown (2021).
